This was the first new computer I ever bought, back in 2003. These used a desktop Pentium 4 HT processor and chewed through battery. They also had a design defect: whenever the screen wasn't at full brightness and anything else drew power (EG the HDD seeking) the backlight would flicker. Dell replaced the system 4 times and never fixed the issue.
