Toshiba T4600C in Under Siege 2 (1995)

This is Dane's laptop. He uses it towards the end of the film to control the satellite.

Importance: ****
The laptop controls the satellite at the climax of the film.

Realism: ***
The cell phone strapped to it seems a bit dodgy to me.

I believe it was a CB radio and not a cell phone. Guessing the CB was configured to act as a 'modem' to control Grazer One in addition to voice communications.

You mean the Walkie Talkie velcro'd to the back? It would only be for communicating to the chopper pilot.

On the blu ray version it clearly shows an encrypted radio velcroed onto the back with a cable connected to the modem port. How a radio acts as a modem is beyond belief, as certain cell phones were only capable at most of sms, data and fax transmission and required a pcmcia data cellular card.

Just before Dane's laptop gets blown to pieces, just pause beforehand and you will be able to clearly see (at least on DVD or even better Blu-Ray) that he's got a Kenwood CB velcroed (or someway attached) to the laptop with clearly NO cables running anywhere. However before he taunts Sarah and walks away earlier, you can see the laptop has a cable attached to the radio. I guess this was just a continuity error.
