2009-06-20 09:41 CDC Remote Calculator
Well, I've been vacillating over this one for some time. I've come across a number of films that have a CDC remote calculator in them and, up until now, I'd not put them on the site. This beast was essentially a very specialised terminal. It had no processor of its own but connected to the CDC 6600 to make that machine's computing power easily available to scientists and mathematicians. I don't normally include terminals, but this is such a specialised piece of kit that was only ever used with the 6600 so I've decided to include them, but counting them as 6600 appearances. The films in question are Soylent Green, Westworld, and Marooned.

2009-06-09 22:18 Master of iDisguise
Another entry marked "I've watched it so you don't have to"! The Master of Disguise is another product-placement coup for Apple with an iBook and an iMac. There were also a couple of Sony laptops that I couldn't identify.
